Owners of Bolts, Leafs and Ioniq 5s described battery-related recall updates that left them with a lower charge cap, a smaller range estimate, or slower DC charging. A Bolt owner saw the estimate at 80% fall from about 170 miles to 130. Some Ioniq 5 estimates recovered after a few full cycles, and others reported 12V warnings or errors.
Home charging reports were different: after a new version, Level 2 sessions dropped out within minutes, sat at reduced amperage, or left schedules and off-peak settings unhonored or reset. Others saw updates start mid-session at public chargers, or confusion over adapter upgrades. Clearing codes and rebooting sorted out at least one case.
