Workplace EV charging — what's normal?

Workplace charging is often free or cheap, and many owners treat it as a routine perk or even their main fuel source. Those without home charging say a single work session covers a commute, and some pay well under what DC fast charging cost them. Prices that were mentioned, such as $0.10 to $0.25 per kWh, rarely bothered people.

The friction comes from scarcity and changing rules. Chargers fill up by mid-morning, finished cars sit plugged in all day, and some sites have added hourly rates or idle fees. Owners say a shared chat for asking people to move helps, and employees setting up new chargers wonder how to limit use without conflict.
