Found a 14-50 to 5-15 adapter online — is this actually a real, safe product?

The thing that would actually concern me from a bad adapter setup is heat damage to the cord or charger itself, which is a separate and honestly more likely failure mode than anything reaching the pack.

IP66 does not protect you if you use the wrong plug or voltage—just means enclosure keeps out dust and water. If you force a 5-15 charger onto a 14-50 outlet using an adapter, it can fry the cord or start a fire, no matter the IP rating.
