Trying to get a realistic sense of what an EV actually costs to own beyond the sticker price, since every "EVs are so much cheaper!" post I find only seems to account for the electric bill and nothing else. Does the electricity cost change a lot depending on home vs. public charging? And what other costs actually show up that don't get mentioned until later — insurance, tires, whatever else?
