What's actually the best Level 1 EV charger people have used, and why?

Looking to actually understand what makes one Level 1 charger better than another, since on paper they're all just plugging into the same outlet at the same amperage. Is it really just about build quality and cable length, or is there something about charging speed or reliability that actually varies between units? What's worked well for people who've tried more than one?

Honestly the one that came with the car. I've been charging my Bolt EUV at 12A 120V for a couple years on the GM cord and never had a problem with it. On the same outlet, about the only thing that changes between units is whether it lets you pick 12A or locks you at 8A.

We just use the stock cord from the Bolt plugged into a $50 extension cord from Home Depot. Have done that for years. We put back about 20% a night, and that covers an 8 mile commute easily. I wouldn't spend money on an aftermarket L1 unit, they all pull the same power out of the wall.
