Our HOA board has been going back and forth on this for the better part of two months now. We had three separate vendors come present their sub-metering and billing systems, and each one had a slightly different pitch on how tenant billing actually works once the hardware is installed, which has left half the board more confused than when we started. I've got an engineering background so I understand the metering hardware side fine, it's the actual billing and accounting side I don't have a good read on yet, and none of the three vendors gave me a straight answer when I asked what happens if a resident disputes their bill. Anyone on a board who's actually lived with one of these systems for a year or more, not just sat through the sales pitch?
