Got my F-150 Lightning back in the spring and my wife, who is way more safety-minded than I am about anything with a plug, has made it a whole thing that we only use "certified everything" for charging gear. Doing some research I keep seeing UL 2252 come up as the standard the good adapters carry, brands like A2Z and WenStorm list it right on the product page, priced somewhere around $80 more than the no-name options.
Then I go on AliExpress and there's basically the same looking adapter for $25 with zero certification markings anywhere on the listing or the photos. I want to know if I'm just being talked into paying for a sticker, or if the UL cert is actually doing something real for a DC fast charging adapter specifically, not just a general "certification good" vibe. My wife will feel vindicated either way but I'd like an actual answer.
